Emerald Access is a licensed, Nebraska-based medical provider offering secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth services for medical cannabis certifications.
Local Business. Local Provider. Local Impact.
Led by a Nebraska-born Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC), certification is simple, accessible, and judgment-free for all eligible Nebraskans.
It is our mission to respect patients’ autonomy in deciding how they wish to use their medical cannabis. Ultimately, our provider’s role is to support patients’ health, not restrict their freedom.
How to Qualify for a Nebraska Medical Cannabis Card (Official rules are still pending)
Age: Must be 18 or older. Minors may qualify with a parent or legal guardian serving as their caregiver.
Qualifying Condition: Must have a condition listed as eligible for medical cannabis use. [View the qualifying conditions]
Provider Certification: A written certification from a licensed doctor or nurse practitioner. (As a nurse practitioner, I will issue this for eligible patients.)
Nebraska Residency: Be a Nebraska resident or provide proof of residency. (e.g., Nebraska driver’s license or state ID).
Nebraska legalized medical cannabis in December 2024, but regulations and administrative rules are still being finalized. This means the list of qualifying conditions and operational procedures are still under development. However, based on similar programs in other states, patients may qualify if they have a serious or chronic condition that significantly impacts daily functioning.
Please note: Medical cannabis certifications cannot begin until Nebraska finalizes its rules and regulations. We’re here to help you stay informed and ready once the program launches.
